Emma & Gareth’s Wedding photography at Stonefield 19-4-2014
Emma and Gareth made the pilgrimage from Queensland to be wed in the company of family and friends at Stonefield, near Brighton, which is about a twenty minute drive from the Hobart CBD.
This is a fabulous location. It is out of the way and a complete surprise. The buildings were built in about 1824 and make for a truly authentic historic backdrop.
The GPS had trouble finding the place, but signage on Elderslie Road saved the day.
Most Tasmanian couples think that spring time is the way to go when planning for their wedding. Warmer weather and blossoming trees are the attraction. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, but the general feeling of people is always a bit more energetic when winter decides to move on.
Autumn in Tasmania also has unpredictable weather and a kaleidoscope
of colour. This is my favourite time of the year and was the perfect choice for their wedding location at Stonefield Function and Reception Centre.
We were fortunate to have the romance gods smiling that day. The light was soft and the air was pleasantly warm enough.
Everyone had a great time and it showed in the wedding photographs.
There is something about small children and autumn leaves that adds that extra bit of fun to a photo shoot. This was specially so when they turned on me with a barrage of fallen leaves.
It had children and myself giggling for quite a while.
I highly recommend having your wedding ceremony, reception and wedding photography at Stonefield.
