Getting to Adventure Bay on Bruny Island can be an adventure in itself. Being commissioned as a Jalicea and Chris’s Bruny Island wedding photographer required extra planning and time contingency consideration. The ferry trip onto the island is only 15 minutes, but you need to wait in the cue quite a bit earlier to make sure that you get a place on the ferry. Once off of the ferry, it is a forty minute drive to Adventure Bay. Watching that ferry sail off just as I reached the terminal did raise the old stress levels a bit. Fortunately I had left enough time and caught the next ferry to Bruny and arrived at Adventure Bay on time to capture the Bride preparing for her big day. The beach at Adventure Bay is clean and beautiful. Their Beach wedding was fun and laid back as was their back yard reception. Jack the family dog was the ring bearer and featured quite a bit through the photo shoot. The light was soft and the wind calm. All up, the day was pretty much perfect.
