What the camera does and how to get clear, well composed photos.

Hot shots at the fire station. – $25

Colour, composition and shiny stuff.

8-1-13  (10am to 12pm)

The Tasmanian Fire Service open their doors to host a tour around the Huonville Fire Station. With any luck, we will have a real fire fighter to pose with the fire truck and equipment.

People Pictures – $25

Framing, Different looks, different light .

9-1-13  (10am to 12pm)

More photographs are taken of people than any other subject. We look at how different light and angles change the feel of a portrait.

Picture a town – $25

Shapes, Lines, Patterns & Perspective.

10-1-13  (10am to 12pm)

It is a short walk to some lovely old buildings in Huonville. We will be exploring the town looking for interesting sights.

(The exact format of the program may change dependent on weather or other factors)

Photo fun on the farm – $35

11-1-13  (9.30am to 12pm)

Expect to get dirty knees at this one.

Practicing what we have learned when composing the shot. We will be getting down to eye level with, chooks, goats, pigs and other friendly farm animals.

Mill Cottage Farm near Glen Huon.

Transportation to be advised.

 

The details

Where: 

All sessions commence and finalize at Huon LINC – 1 Skinner Drive Huonville.

Transport may be provided to and from the Huon LINC, for the farm field trip 10-1-13 (this is to be confirmed)

 

When: 

7,8,9,10 & 11th January 2013

Numbers:

Minimum of 6 per workshop.

Maximum of 10 per workshop.

Booking is essential to guarantee availability.

Credit card: By phone prior to the workshop day.

Direct Deposit: Prior to the workshop day.

Cash payment on the day 

Places may be available on the day, but not guaranteed,

 

What to bring:

  • Your camera.
  • USB memory stick
  •  Lots of enthusiasm.

(Don’t have a camera?  No worries, we have a few cameras available. Just let us know)

You should also bring:

  • A hat.
  • Closed shoes.
  • Water bottle.

Who is running the workshops?

Paul Redding

I am, professional photographer of thirty years with two photo mad kids in the 8 to 12 year age bracket.

Photography experience: Commercial, Industrial, Architecture, Aerial, Wedding and Portrait.

Certificate lV – Photography . School of graphic arts Ultimo NSW.

Outcome:

The aim of the workshops is to have fun, build  confidence and to explore the creative possibilities offered through the medium of photography.

The small group numbers ensure that personal attention can be given when the questions start rolling in.
